My Real Forking Story

Why I'm here...

Like so many of us, for years I struggled with the pressures of our diet culture to be "thin," and a very strong addiction to sugar and flour that led to severe binges. I hated my body and myself, as I continually made promises to eat a certain way only to watch myself break those promises over and over. I used exercise to try and manage my weight, but was met with frustration when, as much as I tried, it never worked. I was overcome with remorse and guilt each time I gained and then tried to lose again. It wasn't until 2020, when I joined a food addiction recovery program, that I learned about the neuroscience of addiction and how our innate survival mechanisms are being manipulated by the food industry. That knowledge released me from the shame and blame, and gave me the tools and support I needed to finally find freedom from the pulls of those addictive foods. For me, that meant choosing to 100% abstain from the substances that I could not moderate while creating new habits that have become an integral part of my life. I have since maintained a body that feels comfortable and peaceful. I am no longer obsessing about what to eat or not eat, or about my physical appearance. It's so freeing!!

And that is what I want for you!

Living in a body that supports the life you want, without the obsession or mental chatter that distracts us from being our full, authentic selves. Maybe you want to release weight, or maybe you don't. Maybe you want to break up with sugar like I did or maybe you want to find ways to eat foods that serve you, without cutting anything out 100%. This is your journey and you know your body best... because you're the only one who gets to live in it!

Why this works...

It's clear that how we've been taught to achieve sustained weight balance and live in healthy bodies long-term has not been working. We need a guide map that allows us to build new habits and maintain them, instead of thinking they are temporary to achieve a singular goal. This is about building the lives we want so we can embody our full potential.

The landscape of food, nutrition and body weight is confusing at best and contentious at worst. We need to get really personal and individual to decide our path and what works best for us, without judgement. Instead of eating for a theory, we need to eat for our unique bodies, minds and preferences.

That said, there are some common, universal truths about human bodies, foods and ways of eating that we can all benefit from learning and practicing. Often that requires stepping out of what is common, and feeling ok with being different. And, as herd animals, we simply can't do that alone... we need support, tools, guidance and someone who believes in us... and that is my job as your health coach.

Real Forking Testimonials

“Chloe is a natural healer and coach. I loved checking in with her every week and hearing her wisdom and insights. I feel stronger in my resolve and discipline in terms of saying no to the foods that aren't good for me. And she never shamed me or made me feel bad about it if I fell off the program. She just very gently redirected me back on the path."
